The combined 2010 New Jersey Wing Basic Encampment (BE10) and the New Jersey Wing Region Cadet Leadership School (NJW RCLS) promises to bring us to the next level! Civil Air Patrol Officers and Cadets, Active, Reserve, Guard and Retired elements of the US Air Force, Army, and Navy will come together bringing unprecedented experience and a desire to develop future leaders of our great military and nation.
We are tremendously fortunate to have secured Joint Base McGuire - Dix - Lakehurst (JB MDL) and with it tremendous support from every branch of our armed forces. With the support from JB MDL and the excellent multi-wing cadet staff, there is no question that the NJWG BE10 will be the training opportunity to be a part of this year. I am confident you are up for the challenge so be sure you register today as all available openings are certain to be filled.
The officers (adults) supporting BE10 and NJW RCLS are volunteering their time, money, and experience. The cross section of CAP professionals and military counterparts represents an impressive collection of experience, selflessness, and belief in the cadet program. Without their support, BE10 and the NJW RCLS would simply not take place. Thank you to all those volunteering for this important event and making BE10 and the NJW RCLS a reality.
Planning for BE10 and NJW RCLS began immediately following BE09 and the BE10 cadet command staff was selected in November 2009. The cadet commander for BE10 and the NJW RCLS is Cadet Major Philip Savitsky. His team includes Cadet Major David Resnick, Cadet Deputy Commander, Cadet Captain Luke Bijelic, Cadet Deputy Commander for NJW RCLS, and Cadet Captain Mark Untisz, Cadet Executive Officer.
In January of 2010, Cadet Major Savitsky and the cadet command staff selected cadets from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Hampshire to staff BE10 and the NJW RCLS. The multi-wing staff has attended multiple required staff training (RST) sessions to develop their leadership skills and begin working as a well-oiled machine. The cadet command staff is extremely committed and the same holds true for the remainder of the staff and their parents! There is no question the BE10 and NJW RCLS staff will be one of the best prepared in our history. I am grateful and proud of their pursuit of excellence.
